Most people experience anxiety at times, particularly during challenging life events or periods of pressure. However, when anxiety becomes persistent, overwhelming, or begins to interfere with daily life, it may develop into an anxiety disorder.<\/p><p data-start=\"449\" data-end=\"800\">Anxiety disorders are among the most common mental health difficulties and can affect people emotionally, physically, and psychologically. They may lead to excessive worry, fear, panic, avoidance behaviours, sleep problems, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and physical symptoms such as tension, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, or digestive issues.<\/p><p data-start=\"802\" data-end=\"868\">There are several different types of anxiety disorders, including:<\/p><ul data-start=\"870\" data-end=\"1499\"><li data-section-id=\"dqp4iw\" data-start=\"870\" data-end=\"968\"><strong data-start=\"872\" data-end=\"910\">Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD)<\/strong> \u2013 ongoing and excessive worry about everyday situations<\/li><li data-section-id=\"12o8yqa\" data-start=\"969\" data-end=\"1052\"><strong data-start=\"971\" data-end=\"989\">Panic Disorder<\/strong> \u2013 recurrent panic attacks and fear of having further attacks<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1chkcxw\" data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1137\"><strong data-start=\"1055\" data-end=\"1073\">Social Anxiety<\/strong> \u2013 intense fear of social situations or being judged by others<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1x5wydb\" data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1211\"><strong data-start=\"1140\" data-end=\"1158\">Health Anxiety<\/strong> \u2013 persistent worry about health or serious illness<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1h0znru\" data-start=\"1212\" data-end=\"1332\"><strong data-start=\"1214\" data-end=\"1253\">Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)<\/strong> \u2013 distressing intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviours or mental rituals<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1s1qjb0\" data-start=\"1333\" data-end=\"1410\"><strong data-start=\"1335\" data-end=\"1346\">Phobias<\/strong> \u2013 strong fear of specific situations, objects, or experiences<\/li><li data-section-id=\"bogbnh\" data-start=\"1411\" data-end=\"1499\"><strong data-start=\"1413\" data-end=\"1445\">Post-Traumatic Stress (PTSD)<\/strong> \u2013 anxiety responses linked to traumatic experiences<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1501\" data-end=\"1750\">Anxiety can feel exhausting and isolating, but it is treatable.
