Identity

Our sense of identity shapes how we see ourselves, our relationships and our place in the world. When you’re unsure of who you are, feel different from those around you, or struggle to feel understood, it can affect your confidence, wellbeing and overall quality of life. Identity issues can arise at any stage of life and are often influenced by life experiences, relationships, major transitions or a deeper understanding of yourself.

As an integrative therapist, I offer a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where you can explore these questions at your own pace. Therapy can help you gain a clearer understanding of yourself, recognise patterns that may be holding you back, and develop greater self-acceptance.

Identity concerns may relate to many aspects of who you are, including ADHD, autism and other forms of neurodiversity, gender identity, being non-binary, sexuality, cultural identity, disability, or the impact of past experiences. You may also be adjusting to a recent diagnosis of ADHD or autism, making sense of why you’ve always felt different, or exploring how your identity has changed over time.

Together, we can explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences in a way that feels safe and supportive. Rather than trying to change who you are, therapy aims to help you understand yourself more fully, strengthen your sense of self, and build confidence in living authentically. Whether you’re questioning your identity, navigating life after a diagnosis, or simply looking to better understand yourself, therapy can provide the space to reflect, grow and move forward with greater clarity and self-compassion.
